Rentas Pentas (RP) is a new adhoc group that was established in 2019. Though it is a new adhoc, it is a merger of two similarly successful adhocs, Teroka Si Cilik and Zoombara, which targeted primary 4 and secondary 2 students respectively. This merger enables RP to be conducted on a larger scale to cater to the ever demanding number of schools that wish to participate in this event. RP 2019 was conducted at Wisma Geylang Serai which gave us a platform to bring the event closer to the community instead of conducting it in NIE like the previous years of Teroka Si Cilik and Zoombara.

The aim of this event is to inculcate the learning of Malay language in fun and interactive ways outside of classroom. There will be an overall theme and storyline. For the storyline to proceed, students will have to complete various tasks. Based on the concept of the game show ‘the Amazing Race’, students will have to complete the various task at each station in order to proceed to the next one. These stations are set up in a way that it matches their respective syllabus in school to ensure that it will be fruitful and beneficial for the students that participated.
