ABOUT US

The Tamil Language Club (TLC) is a subsidiary of the NIE Trainee Teachers’ Club (TTC) and was established on the grounds of promoting racial integration and congruence through awareness about the Tamil Language and its culture. TLC aims to serve as a representation of the Tamil population of NIE and concurrently provide the non-Tamil speaking both Indian and Non-Indian NIE students to be exposed to the Tamil culture and its significance.

Concomitantly, TLC also aims to act as a bridge and support system for the NIE Tamil student-teachers to network and share resources during their course of respective studies. TLC also provides opportunities for its members to exhibit their individual talents whilst learning from each other hence advocating collective learning amongst the members.  

 

TLC has a consistent membership since establishment, primarily comprising of Tamil student-teachers. All TLC members are active participants who takes initiative and contributes equally while tapping on their individual and collective potential.
